The Homme ("home") is an indie rock band from Long Island, New York, blending anthemic melodies, ambient guitars, and textured synths into a sound that recalls the cinematic flair of The Killers, the nostalgia-driven edge of Wallows, and the emotional intensity of The Backseat Lovers.
Growing up along the beaches of Long Island, the members of The Homme were shaped by the rhythm of the coastline—late-night drives, salty air, and the sound of waves bleeding into their playlists. Before they ever shared a stage, Dan was in the crowd watching Bryan perform in another band—years before The Homme would take shape. Over time, shared influences and parallel paths brought the band together: Dan and JJ have been playing together since college, and at one point, JJ, Justin, and Dan all played in the same project. Each member has experienced the highs and hard lessons of chasing music. Now older, more grounded, and more focused, The Homme isn’t just another chapter—it feels like the one they were always meant to write.
Following the shimmering debut single Silver Lake — a track that channels the golden haze of summer through surf-inspired guitar riffs and pulsing rhythms — The Homme introduced their distinct sonic palette on the EP Tides. With tracks like Cliffhanger and Dancing on Fire, the band showcased their versatility, weaving together emotive guitar work, synth-laced atmospheres, and unexpected Latin grooves.
Now, with their debut full-length album Parallels, The Homme enters a new chapter, leaning deeper into storytelling, crafting songs that reflect the contradictions of growing up: joy and doubt, freedom and fear, longing and love. The lead single Young and Wild captures the restless spirit of youth, balancing raw energy with introspective lyricism — a signature of the band's evolving sound. Songs like Just Kids evoke late-summer nights and carefree drives with friends, while Shaded pairs ‘80s new wave guitar lines with cathartic reflections on anxiety and connection—delivering a message of vulnerability and solidarity.
It’s a coming-of-age soundtrack for a generation that’s still figuring it all out—together.
The Homme is Bryan Eich (Vocals / Guitar / Keys), Dan Pfeifer (Drums / Percussion), JJ Sarle (Vocals / Guitar) and Justin Goldberg (Bass).
